Parallel Slab
Model B11
The parallel slab gate valve is the model B11 execution with parallel-faced gate and seats, available with bolted bonnet or pressure seal closure — the pressure seal option being typical for high pressure classes, where internal pressure energizes the bonnet gasket. The through conduit, full bore design keeps the line piggable and free of cavities exposed to flow.
Applications mirror those of the slab gate family: pipeline isolation, launcher/receiver stations, and process duties requiring a compact metal-to-metal seated gate valve.
The valve is designed to API 6D, API 6DSS or API 6A, with metal-to-metal hardfaced seats, back seat stem design, manual (handwheel or gearbox) or actuated operation, and SIL certification up to SIL 3.
