Annulus

In 2006 Valland produced ninety annulus valves for the BP Valhall project, used for injection and gas extraction on the peripheral ring of the well drilling system. The 2.1/16" 5000 psi valves were completely tailor-made to the customer’s requirements and manufactured in accordance with API 6A PSL 3G: full duplex construction, actuated, top entry, SPE-DPE metal-to-metal seat sealing, with an integral flange on one side and a special threaded connection on the other.

The key requirement was compactness — and the in-house design allowed Valland to deliver a very compact product that met all the project’s special requests.
